STYLING YOUR HAIR WITH POMADE
The trendiest product! Its best asset? You can change your style as many times as you want, it will always look natural and flexible. Whether you want straight, wavy or curly hair, everything is possible with wax! Contrary to styling gel, wax doesn’t just hold your hair but gives it texture so you can shape it at will.
FOR WHICH TYPE OF HAIR ?
As paste or pomade, wax is perfect for thicker hair, whether it’s short, medium or long. It’s the best way to add texture and style to short hair and brings out the best in layered haircuts. It’s perfect for cowlicks, frizzy and kinky hair, and is also great for dreadlocks. Like all creams - and contrary to hair gel - it can also be used on wet hair. It keeps your hair perfect until your next brush.
COMPARISON WITH GEL
Pros: No dandruffs, long-lasting, flexible, natural (can also be used as hair treatment), adaptable to all hairstyles (matt, shiny, flexible, strong hold, etc.) Cons: Not suitable for very fine hair (unless you only use a tiny amount) or greasy hair (as it accentuates the greasy aspect).
- 1 - Take a knob of wax, be careful not to take too much as it can be a bit greasy. Lather up between your hands. Why? Waxes are usually very compact, this will warm it up and make it more fluid, and therefore easier to apply.
- 2 - Depending on your style... For a tousled, slightly messy look, apply only on the tips and/or length. Be careful not to apply on the roots to avoid “greasing” your hair.
- 3 - For a retro, plastered-down hairstyle, apply on the whole hair, from the roots down.
CHOOSE YOUR POMADE
The effect and the fixation are the 2 elements to consider in choosing your pomade.
